Something which can help against depression being
suicidal is meditation. I experienced it getting me out of it.
When meditation works for a person, which is not always
the case, it can bring about a strong mind and also well
being. This may be enough to help against the depression
Yet in many cases the good state is not permanent. But it
helps you to do necessary work on and with your mind to
deal better with the depression and other issues and
improves the mental and emotional condition of a person
in general to various degrees.
What you can achieve with meditation depends on if
you strive to do it right and how much you do.
Hours every day at least, 3 or 4 for some weeks, were
necessary for me to get quick results yet one hour
is also helpful. In a meditation retreat you may do 12 hours
every day.
Best it is to do a course in meditation, if not available you
can learn it on your own from online sources.
