Some time ago I read an aritcle which described the British doing the same.
For what do we need another superpower when it is not better for the people?

The people, the people have to learn to downsize any country any government which refuses
to work for the people.I hope it works at all.  If not we all will suffer from the greed of the elite
to live on our costs.
Apart from Russia I do not know many countries which treat GMOs responsibly.

 He declares that the situation in the Ukraine is a threat

 to national security. But the Ukraine is thousands of

 miles away from the US.

Then the president can actually name any conflict in the

world as a threat to national security of the US to declare

emergency.

To state that a conflikt that far away from the US is a

 threat to national security is not made up not real.

It becomes only a threat if the NATO meddles with

Russia militarily because of American imperialistic

interests in the Ukraine.

When the US does not interfere in the Ukraine. then

there is no threat to national security of the US.

When there is in future a threat to national security

coming from the conflict in the Ukraine  the US

president made it!

Do you agree that the situation in the Ukraine is not

a real threat to national security of the US?

Do you allow your predident to use acts like 

declaring national emergency on false grounds?

I think this should be used only on real threats not

more or less produced ones.

Don't you think that to declare emergency on basis

of such grounds is an abuse of power for which he

has to be held accountable?

Further he targets people who are in the way of what

he calls democratic processes and institutions in the

Ukraine.

But the current government is a result of a coup, so

actual illegitimate. A legitimate elected  government was

overthrown by them.

The former president faces accusations but what is

proven?

It is natural that people in the Ukraine not accept that

government.

The president so protects with an executive order the

actions of an illegitimate government and keep people

from acting against it.

I state with that the president stands in the way of a

 democratic process in the Ukraine and just wants to

keep the current government in which will serve US

interests.

The planned actions against accessible people not

 conforming US interests in the conflict in the Ukraine

are based on declaring national emergency because of a

threat to national security of the conflikt in the Ukraine.

Don't you think that to turn against people on the basis

on declaring national emergency on false grounds is an

further act of abuse of power and the president should

be held accountable?

 

There are or were areas in the Ukraine which defy the government in Kiew.
 Russia, how about proposing and supporting  a referendum there if they want to join Russia.

 want to cheat Russia.

And if they answer there is usually not much truthful

information in it.

When they promise anything, they will have excellent

excuses when they break them, possibly blaming you

that they could not keep them or else.

Russia has aleady given in to the claims of

hegemony of the US.

The current government in Kiew intends to

do that. I do not think that any promises

to do otherwise will be valid after some

time.  Treaties or else have limited value

It is better to have control than  the

before mentioned.

 

If Russia does not take control of the

 government in Kiew now, this means for

Russia  to give in into the claims of

hegemony of the US now.

You could start and support those

who  defy the rule of Kiew with

What about marching together

with Russians army into Kiew.

Russians the whole crisis about the Ukraine was staged
by the West.
If they succeed finally with the coup and take over the
Ukraine get the country into the EU and NATO, they
will not stop after this.
Putin is not their favourite leader in Moscow, so there
will be actions to get him out. They will stage a crisis
in Russia and nearly worldwide media will blame
Putin.Because they do this close to the next
elections they have good chances to get Putin
and their desired candidate in office in the elections.
Or they criminalize him with a staged sexual assault
as they possibly try with Assange.
There are many possibilities to get Putin out and you
will possibly notice what happens when it is too late.
When Putin is out, they will shape Russia to their
desires and Russians will live the life they get
designed to by the West.
There is not much to resist, it is very powerful.
When Russia falls, China is the last  country
in the World. not in the clutches of the West.
apart from the Iran.
'We will try and cut growth of China and stay so
in command' is what voices in my brain tell me.
So that is about what the future looks like.
You had better now take the chance and also the risks
with freeing the Ukraine from the pro west insurgents
supported by America, UK, Germany and others.
Then clean up Georgia. The US is messing
there as well.
There is not much need to talk with Western
politicians. There is collective madness with
the support of Western imperialism.
I mean what I write!!!

Western diplomacy, trying to deescalate means largely  to talk Russia and the Ukraine into
defeat.  This deescalation talks are  part of the western plan to get hold of the Ukraine. This is probably  not the time to talk. now. It is the time to think about and carrying out actions to get the fascists  in Kiew out.
No rotten compromises with the West. No deescalation which means to accept this pro western
fascist government close to Russia. Drive this government out first. and send your aunts for
coffee parties with western politicians.

Any results in the Ukraine short of quickly removing the government in Kiew resulting from the coup, would probably be a defeat for Russia as a pro western government for the Ukraine is likely then infuture with all the consequences resulting from that. (NATO,EU)
The time in power the interim government will use to lay legally and illegally the ground for successful pro western elections the next time they happen. And this with western support.
So an ultimatum to this government could be an idea. It should  step down and make way for an Russian backed interim government, which will schedule and monitor elections and the political process in the Ukraine then and in future.
If the interim government in Kiew does not act upon the ultimatum. Well, then...

Further to get clear that Russia considers the Ukraine as its area of
 influence also for the sake of its national security and will not
 allow the Ukraine to join the West.
This is policy of might, but don't think such would not happen in
the EU, where Germany pressed countries to this or that and as
a member of the EU as a country you are finally told by the EU
leadership what to do.

If  Russia wants to go for more I can't say much.
I am just an outsider writing comments based on limited information.
